Hey guys, i was hoping you could point give me some pointers on where to go next with the OC that I have attempted on my GTX 560 (non ti) 1gb card.

I started with MSI Afterburner, to get:

This produced no artifacts in Kombuster, apparently stable with temps around 70°C. So i proceeded to test this in vantage,

Vantage ran fine with max temp around 67°C. So i then proceeded to run a bench with Heaven Benchmark v2.1. However when running Heaven would crash out with the following error:

Unigine fatal error: "D3D11appWindow::do_swap():device removed"

I went back into Afterburner and to have Heaven complete a full bench without crashing out I ended up with the clock at 884 and the mem the same as above.

.

with a few runs going fine of heaven and vantage now scoring:

I decided to jump into some games. Firstly Wow with settings on ultra. It played fine for about half an hour, then crashed with drivers falling over and windows recovering them. I tried dropping the core and mem a few notches on the fly, but the same cash with drivers falling over happened again and again. I am struggling to know where to go from here with the benches running fine. I would be grateful for any suggestions or better ways to clock and test this card and how to go about fine tunning.. Is there a way i can push a little more power through or any bios unlocks for this card?

I will update my profile with my rig in a moment, also the cards not physically altered in anyway, stock cooler.

Cheers

Bobs.

did you try to overvolt it a little? try dropping the me clocks instead of core ones, ussually from my experience its the mem clocks that crash my oc

Thank you for your pointers guys,

I have had another little play around with the card. I have upped the vcore to 1075mv, core clock to 930 and mem down to 2230 in afterburner.

I went a little higher but had artifacts in Kombuster so tested like this so far.

I've had a stable runs from Heaven, vantage and 3dmark 11, temps have crept up a little with a max of 74°C after the 3 benches.

Vantage:

3dMark 11:

I'm off to see if it can survive a gaming session

hoping not to get a repeat of the crash and drivers falling over. I may try push a little more then later if its truly stable.

Wish me luck.
