Hello
I already told about my overclocking ambitions in the last thread.
I did some research and found this article: http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cpu_mainboard/intel_6950x_6900k_6850k_cpu_review/3
The CPU-Z screenshot from the i7-6850K is very impressive.
My screenshot looks like this:
I am not happy with the high voltage but right now I can't go lower because it wont be stable. Temperatures with OCCT are OK under 75°C but in prime95 some cores peak to 90°C.
In the Bios I set voltage and multiplier for the Core and memory to XMP.
Any hints which Bios settings would be important to go towards the 3.0V but remaing at the 4.4GHz? I think the difference is too high to blame it on the lottery? Also I am unhappy with the XMP but I cant find the right place to add the RAM voltage in my bios.
My rig:
Any help is much appreciated.
Have a great time,
malessandro
