So for some context:
Ryzen 2600X
MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon
16GB Teamgroup Dark Pro 3200
ID Cooling Auraflow 240mm
Since building my new rig a couple of months ago I pretty much just set the XMP on the memory (16-16-16-36 @3200) and tweaked the vcore to bring temps down and left it alone.
A couple of days ago I started playing with the memory timings and sub timings and tweaking voltages, which after hard locking a few times resulted in a borked Windows :cry2:
I've reinstalled Windows, and (using the Ryzen calculator this time) managed to get down to 14-14-14-30 @3200.
Since my MSI board lacks an offset voltage option I resorted to Ryzen Master.
Now I can do 4.3ghz all core @ 1.44v [ https://valid.x86.fr/3k1qdr ] but I'd rather not keep it that high. Previously tried 4.4ghz @ 1.4v but hard locked under testing.
I've settled on 4.2ghz @ 1.325v, but I'm left with a couple of questions;
Does that seem reasonable or should I keep trying to lower the voltage?
If I leave the CPU at "auto" in BIOS with Cool and Quiet enabled and then overclock with Ryzen Master as I have done, is my CPU supposed to still step down the ratio and voltage when idle?
EDIT: I'm not sure what's going on with the BCLK being down to 99.8 either. EDIT EDIT: After posting it fell over in Prime95 with 4.2ghz @ 1.325, so dropped to 4.1 for now
