Help with H50 Temps Plz

Hi Guys

I have just done a build for a friend, in the TJ-07 case with the H50 Cooler, these are the temps i'm getting after the pc being on for a couple of hours (installing software etc)

They seem a little high to me, but was thinking does the H50 need time to settle????

Someone has said I need to turn the fan controller off to the header where the pump is connected, can someone tell me how I do this, the Motherboard is the same as mine the Gigabyte X58 UD5

they may need time to settle,but your temps seem fine for that cooler,i guess its got a stock fan no push pull?

as AMD said, let it settle

if you got problems switch to a push+pull though that usually creates the tornado's

try a benchmark/hard gaming for a couple of hours and check the temps again

if you check out Here you can see that they are getting temps of around 50

Personally i'd connect the pump and radiator fan directly up to the PSU rather than having anything running through the motherboard. Especially if you're overclocking. I wouldnt want to runt he H50 at anything but full steam.

I don't use the fan headers on my UD5, but i *think* the only one with any kind of fan control (smart control) is the CPU fan header.

The smart control can be disabled on this fan header so it gives full power all the time, by using the option in the BIOS under the PC Health Status section called CPU Fan Smart Control.

Personally, I would connect at least the pump up directly to the PSU as Jim suggested.

yer or the connector for the CPU pin is usaly 4pins but if you look close you can see the 2slides for using a normal fan the 4thpin is the smartcontrol/cool n queit etc etc

I have now connected the pump to the PSU and have turn the smart control for the cpu header off, so the fan with the RAD is got no speed control either

Idle, I was just installing some programs

Is overclocked to 4ghz
