Help need wireless on the move must be legal

Hi there, I have a small problem, I need wireless for my laptop whilst roaming the country, I have been logging on to open wireless routers as I was told this is OK as long as I only use it for my laptop and don't mess with their PC then last week I find some one arrested for doing it :(

So I've tried to find out how best to do it. I've looked at a Vodaphone 3G card but it wouldn't be a large enough limit for me, they only allow 1GB per month and I need far more than that, I used a meter and found I use around 160-170MB per day just doing my work, not even allowing reading on forums

And as I wouldn't be using it all the time I would prefer some sort of pay as you go, I haven't needed it for 3 weeks then in a fortnight I'll be away for 3 weeks so will need it every day.

Any idea's please, as title must be 100% legal.

Thanks guys.

wifi isn't free they have it on trains and stuff you buy credit and you can use it with your wifi card i think

correct me if i am wrong

Thanks mate, I must be losing it, tried google using different terms, but cut and pasted yours and voila, the cloud at £11.99 a month all in, superb really thanks mate.

I think they class using someone else's broadband as theft.

But didnt the 2 people that got caught drive and park outside someones house to use their connection? Not really that subtle tbh.

another alternative is to subscribe to a 3G/HSDPA provider.

use the mobile network ;) 1.4 mbit at the moment i think.
