HELP how to fix stuck pixels?

Hey I bought my sister a monitor before she goes back to university, and I noticed that as soon as I turned it on I had a little green pixel that was stuck. At first I thought O $%^ dead pixel (I didn't know what one was lol) but now after reading I know that it is a stuck pixel. It is green and is in the top corner of the desktop.

How would I go about fixing this? If it doesn't get fixed before my dad gets home I know he will freak lol (He will just think the monitor is screwed). I have ran the video test like 10 times and still no success.

Ok I am running a program called UDpixel 2.1 on the problem spot. I'll run that for a few hours and hope for the best. If it doesn't work it will more than likely go away in a few days?

Not always no. Some people say playing graphics heavy games, and then massaging/rubbing the pixel might sort it out.

Is there any special way to do it? Can I do it while the monitor is turned on? How long and how much pressure will I need to apply?

With me, i have the monitor on, then start with a light pressure, building up until it works.

Might want to use a paper towel over your finger so you dont get the monitor dirty :).
Probably better to use a soft lint-free cloth, cause some types of towel may scratch the screen.

Do it when you turn the screen on or do something stressfull with the monitor like This

Edit: just thought i should warn people with epilepsy / problems with flashing lights to not click that link

Hmmm I dunno what the hell is the matter with it, I ran the flash all night and it did nothing to it, I also tried rubbing it and still nothing. What should I do?

there might not be anything you can do, sometimes stuck/dead pixels is there due to imperection in the factory.

dust is for example a major problem that can cause both dead and stuck pixels but consider this.

on a 1024x1280 resolution you have over 1.3million pixels, that equals to alittle over 3.93 million subpixels so be happy not more subpixels mess around with you ;)
