help: DX Racer vs AK Racing chair

so after many years of service I've decided my office chair has had it, the foam has disintegrated and the "leather" is torn, not a pretty sight.
and so I've decided to slam down a bit of money and get something a bit fancier....now immediately after making that decision i realised just how crazy you can go with something as simple as a chair... long story short i dived right into the peak of crazy expensive chairs and narrowed it down to one of two manufacturers, DX and AK. on one hand i can get the AK from overclockers and have it up an assembled the next day, or import the DX which will take longer and probably cost more.

SO, visually they dont seem much different to me, is there any real benefit to one over the other?
would also love to hear from people who have had either for a while and see how well they stand the test of time

my vote goes to AK racing.
I've got a Premium one and I've had it since last August and it's perfect for my needs! really comfortable to see on.
I am fairly heavy (97kg) and the chair hasn't sagged one bit. and the "wings" don't push your shoulders forward even if you're quite wide

Well you get what you pay for... I got this one: https://www.komplett.se/akracing-gaming-black-blue/810292

And I'm sending it back, the chairs base, where you sit, were kinda too tight for me... the "wings" as stated above, on my version, felt like were a bit in the way so to speak.
They didn't push my shoulders forward or so, just don't know how to explain it.

I'm not sure if it was just my example... but mine couldn't tilt as it should be able too.

Allround it was a very comfortable chair though, really liked the cushioning, and the support of your back. Really nice indeed.

But now on, I'm more of the "sit and try it out first, before buying it" type of guy :p

But overall, it wasn't anything bad or wrong with it though... these are just my own, personal, preferences though.

I see what you mean actually.

and I was quite weary at first because I wanted to try but I thought that if I didn't like it, I'd just send it back.
the premium is definitely more expensive but it is worth it to me. I've had some back injuries and my £15 argos chair had to go

Well done then and nice find dude! :) ... In you case I can understand, and the back support is quite nice on the AKRacing chairs :)

What did you end up buying? I just broke the weld on my old office chairs base... Might have to go up a weight division >.<
