HELP AMD strikes again

Hi,

updated my drivers to 13.4 then after i had constant BSOD every day for about 4 days so i thought ill go back to 13.1 where i had no problems uninstalled amd 13.4 used driver sweep now i cant boot straight after booting i get a BSOD codes vary here are some:


I can boot into safe mode, i had this issue with all drivers after 13.1 i normally have to reinstall windows, why wont any AMD driver apart from 13.1 work?

Last time i buy AMD!

Your graphics driver is corrupt OR you have a hard drive problem.

Have you tried Driver Sweeper in safe mode? If you have then your system folder is borked and you need to reinstall.

i dunno how but i can boot now i installed 13.5 beta driver cause uninstalling 13.4 and reinstalling 13.1 caused al sorts of issues, only time will tell if this BSOD, only small issue is that windows media player stops working when trying to play .avi files now XD

I suggest removing all GPU drivers and reinstalling 13.5, a reinstall usually fixes some software issues.

13.5 doesnt BSOD as much but it still causes it, will reinstall windows and put 13.5 straight on it and see what happens.

It really strange and annoying that ive never had any issues before upgrading drivers until after 13.1 then its BSOD everyday, reinstall windows install 13.1 or lower and it works fine.

13.5 beta drives work for me. Delete your previous drivers?

I tried the last beta driver and the only thing to fix it was a complete Windows re-install. I have never had that happen with an AMD driver, and I have been using them solid since 4890 was released.

I do like the 13.5 driver. It stopped the lines across the screen and flickers when in Windows associated with the cards dropping power state and clock changes.

no im moving out at the moment so cant reinstall windows until saturday when i will reinstall and install 13.5 straight away.,

13.6 Beta are out btw, give them a try as well.

I only have a single 7950 but with 13.5 my FPS was so bad! Cleaned it all up and tried 13.4 and just got constant failure, I could get 10 minutes game play at the most so I cleaned up and went back to 13.1 which are fine. AMD have some serious power in their cards and the prices are low but wow their drivers suck! GTX 780 for me next.

Strange, I have a 7950 and 13.5 have been great for me. I haven't ever had a problem with any of their drivers to be honest.

13.5 is terrific for me. A LOT of performance increases in games i play. Their drivers are fine... it's the person who installs it is the problem... Never had a problem with them.

My friend with the same card XFX 7950 version 2 had the same issue, and dude trust me I know how to install drivers. Hence why when I went back to 13.1 my problems went away.

Try 13.6... These are all beta drivers so can't really blame AMD for the problems beta drivers inherit. Some will work others won't.

And could you please explain how we people who have issues installed them wrong, some people just cant seem to accept the fact that there ARE issues.

Just because you are having issues does not mean you should completey drop kick AMD in the nuts. You are trying beta drivers; not OFFICIAL drivers. They are always problems with beta drivers(nvidia too). Stick with 13.1 and once the next official one comes out then try it. Or just actually install correctly and that will almost always solve a problem unless the driver is that bad.
