Hi,

Just signed up after watching the great videos on YT and deciding this seems like a cool community and place for computer info etc

Recently bought a new PC after the old mobo died (seemed to all go wrong over a few weeks after a lightning storm and power-cut/electrocution event haha!)

I bought a Z87 Pro and 4770k, using my old Noctua NH D14 cooler and 16gb of 1600mhz Corsair boggo ram.


Currently running AI Suite (WHYYY!!! it's so horrible but it installed when doing all the drivers etc)



Main reasons for being here are getting help on overclocking. These new mobos and bioses and windows OC'ing apps (AI suite) really are confusing so I want to work out what is really going on and work from there!

Firstly welcome to the community.

Most might agree with me some won't but ditch the AI Suite and do all your Overclocking from the bios only as proprietary software Overclocking is horrible.

No ice cream unfortunately SPS hehe.

I agree Wraithguard. AI Suite just crashed again on me. Not very reliable at all and given years of "advancement" since the version on my old P8 P67 Pro it's still terrible to look at and use and understand what is going on... infact this new version feels worse... more features but worse haha.


BIOS overclock is the way I want to go without a doubt!
