hey everybody. I own a Thermaltake Ttesports Shock headset...

I don't particularly like thermaltake
, but I got this headset as a gift, and so I really couldn't complain.
Yesterday I threw it on and got on skype to start gaming with a few friends. All of a sudden, the microphone is not working. It is almost entirely dead. I have the audio plug version rather than the USB version by the way.
I have tried many things, and what seemed to work was fiddling around with the connector that goes into the left ear-cover. Once I held that at a certain angle, my friends is skype could hear me, but it was scratchy.
I opened up the left ear-cover and looked around to see what was up, and there is no broken or disconnected wires. It doesn't look like there is anything wrong. The audio comes in just fine through the left, but the microphone just doesn't work. I'm thinking that perhaps it is the wire coming a little bit out of contact with the soldering?
Anybody else have this problem? I hear it is prevalent in headsets that have this crappy connection. I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem and successfully fixed it?
I would appreciate ANY feedback ASAP
