crysis NOT averted. I am still having the same problem even with the brand new card that ebuyer have sent me. So at the moment i am waiting for ebuyer to test the card on a brand new build, with no previous ATI being installed on the computer and see what the result is.
As the returns guy at ebuyer that I have been speaking to about the issue believes it could be a driver issue, or a Chipset issue.
I have tried the card without any drivers installed, using the Windows Install Cleanup Utility to get rid of every AMD driver found on my pc, which I have done and after testing the card for 20 minutes. The card failed on the dual screen test, after about 10 minutes.
Ebuyer have to replicate these results, before they can contact their own supplier. Who can then in turn contact Powercolor the manufacturer of the card and say that there is a problem either with the drivers or the Chipset.
I will keep this topic up to date, as I hear the results of the tests from Ebuyer.
The only others option that I currently available to me is the following:
1. Return the card and buy a completely different card such as a Nvidia GTX 570/580 card - this idea is alright apart from I would much rather prefer the Ati 7870 which i currently have.
2. Return the card for a full refund, and wait until the issue has been solved. As because I have raised in with Ebuyer and they can replicate the same results, they will still look into the issue if I return the card.
