very true but thats just my bad experience. the thing i really like about ati's are that they are very affordable unlinke nvidia. but if i was given the option for the best nvidia card or the best ati card (no cost), (single cards) i would go for nvidia. a gtx 285 or a ati 4890. but i hate the fact the ati's can get extremely hot.

Yeah they can get hot mate, but if you want digital PWM's for better power regulation and better overclocking then thats just something you have to allow for (4870)

And if you mean the 4870x2 then thats digital pwm's again yet it runs cooler than a GTX295

i meant single card, the gtx 285 and the 4890. i dont like the gtx 295 i think you might as well get 2 gtx 285.

2x gtx285 will out perform a single 295 anyways. And the 4890 is a 4870 with all the restrictions off and is the first gpu to hit 1000mhz on the core.

But again digi pwm's is the reason for heat mate, the ATI's are far superior to the green machines.

I fold on the Nvids mate, I did have an 8800gt in Heaven & Hell when I built that but for whats on the market at the moment with what they cost it would deffo be an ATI for gaming for me atm.

Ive just fitted a 55nm gtx260 in a customer machine and gave that a right good going over the week I had it, but other than PPD folding it didnt overly impress me.

i like my gtx 260!!! it gives me an average of 80 fps when playing on Grid but all the settings are on medium

I get about 50-65 but mine are all maxxed out.

With Vsync on anything over 60 is wasted

Not often dude, always too busy with TTL ect, I need to get my mainrig back in a decent case aswell
