Haswell or Ivy?

Pretty simple question, I'm gonna be doing a fairly major update to me PC in the near future (Prly around february). I've been trying to debate for months now whether to get a i5-3570k with a ASrock Extreme4, or a i5-4670k with the ASrock Z87 Killer.

Notes to factor in:
- Inexperienced overclocker, Haven't done much with it, this will be my first rig that I actually push that envelope (Intend on doing so gradually, maybe 4.0 Ghz for starters :) )
- Cooler will most likely be either a CM Seidon 240 or a Corsair H100i
- Case will be a Corsair Air 540

Go for the cheaper route. Which 95% of the time is ivy.. Though if it was me i would go for haswell. Better boards all around which is enough to sway me over.

If you are buying new - haswell

if you are buying it all used - Ivy

Short, sweet, to the point and spot on.

If you are building fresh, there is little point going for Ivy (aside from the price), the socket 1155 has come to an end, basically what is out now, is out and thats it....

Go for Haswell if you can, but if money is an issue, even go i3 Haswell and upgrade it later.....the 1150 socket has an upgrade path, 1155 doesn't anymore.
