Haf X Assassin.

Deffo needs an NH-D14 - the intel coolers are way too loud. Ive got a box full of them kicking about here

I agree if not just for the top of the line cooling personally I would buy the Noctua just for the silence alone :-)

did you only read the first page? Theres nothing wrong with his cabling on the previous page

True, they still need work though.
Guys i did a ghetto mod, theres just no turning off those BLUE LEDs unless you run stock clocks again, so i think this might only be a temp fix as i don't like the look of a black square piece of tape thats blatantly obvious, on my board

Picked these up on Thursday...

One is being RMA'd though, it detects in Afterburner and other programs as a 'Power Edition' which doesn't exist in the 680 range, plus it runs at lower clock speeds than advertised, so only running a single GTX 680 Lightning at the moment until i get a new one returned.

I'm not jealous at all :p

Hehe i was really excited and even more excited when i looked at them both installed inside the case, really sucks one of them didn't work properly, hopefully on monday or tuesday i get a new one replaced under warranty.

Heres one installed

I had to remove the side fan shroud on the case as the panel wouldn't close due to the width of the 680's, and once the second one is back i will have to remove the sound card, will probably buy a USB DAC

Here they are dwarfing my GTX 580 Super Overclock

The carpet shouldn't be too much of a problem as those cards have back plates. I can also say im surprised of the size against the 580 wind force, their HUGE! and i always thought that was big lol

Nice cards anyway mate :)

Yeah the lightnings are on back plates, however I shouldn't have put them on the carpet anyway.

I don't plan on water cooling, I just don't need it, good case cooling plus cards that don't run hot at all and a good CPU cooler, I just don't need the hassle and extra expense of a loop. I don't feel comfortable with it anyway as I've never used water cooling

Updated now with both cards in and running, OC'd and tested. :)

And due to sound card touching the second card, i sold it and got a DAC, invested in some nice RCA's also

BF3 is around 100fps. Borderlands 2 i have capped the game at 120fps.
