You might get away with running the 8-pin under the mobo, I know it will be a pain in the arse to have to remove the mobo just to route one cable but it could save you some £££ over buying an extension.

looking realy good mate though to echo a few other posts you need some cable managment.

Maybe look into an 8-pin extension cable.

I believe Tom reviewed some a while back and i know from looking you can pick some up for cheep.

But again looking good, nice specs XD

Yeah thanks everyone, i hope to get the cables sorted out soon, I don't really need it but i want to upgrade my CPU cooler so i will probably do the cables when i buy that.

Hi everyone!

I bit the bullet and got myself a new CPU cooler, fitted already. The stock intel was making a bit of noise, as if it was slightly hitting something, got annoying and i will want to OC this PC soon.

While at the shop i also got myself a Bitfenix Alchemy 8 pin power cable extension, loos a lot better now that the cable isn't in front of the board.

CPU cooler is NZXT Havik 140.

PICS!

Whats the best way for me to test this and give you guys my results, After my old build i just left it like that for a while and didn't really have much to do with anything else, i've regained my heavy interest in all PCs/hardware/OC after building this rig.

What programs etc should i use?

Prime95 Small FFT's after 30min should give you the max temps, for stability, Blend or Small FFT's setting (or both) for 6-24 hours. I do 12 hours, some people say 6 is enough, some say 24 hours..

Then test games and such, it might be prime stable but not game stable

CPU-z to show and validate frequencies and such. Realtemp is good for temperatures, also CPUID HWmonitor is good, a bit more detailed and not just the CPU/GPU temps.

To summarise:

CPU: Prime 95 to load CPU and CPUID HWMonitor to see tepmeratures.

VGA: FurMark or Kombustor (or a F@H client)

Why are people getting so excited the only thing NZXT have ever done is make one good PSU line their just tacky.....

Boooooooooooooo lol NZXT have made some good things. The Vulcan, The Phantom, LED strips, Obviously the Hale series power supplies and Cable extensions. They are a good company just they make some shit cases.
