Nice hardware dude but you really do need to sort the cables out!!! Just makes it look cheap with it the way it is :/

Hey i was impressed at that CPU cooler from factory, although when you spend that much on the processor its the least you should expect. Apparently it can be OC'd upto 4.3 with standard cooler and have no problems.

Lol it definately became money after i spent quite a bit on this rig, i plan on getting another 580 in the next few months.

Oh and i was still doing a bit more in the case when i took that photo, the 580 does have both power cables running into it now

Thanks for the replies

running the cooler on performance mode not quiet, can't complain, i might bump the cpu to above 4.0 max 4.3 and see what happens as i read a review where the standard cooler is pretty capable even with the cpu at 4.3. However a noctua won't do, dont feel like changing ram so i can fit a new cooler

Very jealous of ur hardware mate

Get rid of that ram cooler, ultimately pointless your ram wont get hot enough and grab a decent cpu cooler like a Silver Arrow or NH-D14 and make use of that massive area behind the motherboard tray to hide those cables and your rig will look the mutts nuts

I might have a go of fixing up the cables this weekend, i have a lot of power cables running and the 8 pin that runs over the GFX card pisses me off, as its not long enough to run behind the tray and into the power socket.

No power cable is long enough for the HAF X mate, I had the same problem with mine when I used that case, I used the 8 pin extension that came with the case for a while. You could always get some of the sweet BitFenix Alchemy braided cables, your rig would look mint with some bright green and black braids in there

Yeah i might buy some cables soon, i'm trying to find sata power cables with only one plug, not a massive long plug with 4 hanging off it, too much clutter folding it up, you should see what the cables look like inside the cover next to the PSU.

sgunnery: Turbo button came with the motherboard and is a slight overclock once you press it.

Speakers are just logitech, i forgot the name, i have a better kit in the same room that i use for the TV and PS3 however, Logitech Z550 5.1 so it puts these ones to shame.

Today i removed the heatsinks off my dominator GT kit and resprayed them black to match the theme of the build more, i also unplugged everything internally on friday night to fix up the cables to make everything look a bit more tidy.

Next on the agenda is to replace the power cables for the motherboard and the graphics card to something black, Bitfenix Alchemy will probably be the winner. Heres PICS!
