H440 fan orientation on double rad loop

Just a quick one guys, I'm building a custom loop in my h440 with an ek XT360 rad front and a thin 280mm rad top.

Now I've always been told positive air pressure is the way to go and have the 2 rads pulling in a the single 140 fan pushing the warm air out.

I know the H440 is a unique case when it comes to air flow and restrictions and once I mount this rad and fans it's gonna be a nightmare switching them round so anyone have experience with custom loops in the case and the best orientation for optimal cooling?

When I was using a custom loop in h440 I just used the 3x120 mm in the front as intake. Installed a filter and 140mm in the rear as an intake and finally the 3x120 mm wt the top as the exhaust.

Seemed to be the best setup when I was trying it.

Would also be a decent idea to remove the grills. Helpe the ariflow.

Good idea about the grills especially the front as they are on the right hand side so I won't see or miss them.

I was considering the top as an exhaust but my worry was would the air just circulate back into the case as there is no easy way for it for flow out.

Warm air rises cool air drops. With the way I set up mine you get it being pushed more through the top anyways. No need to worry about ut going back in.

Wouldn't the warm air from the front 360 rad be detrimental to the cooling of the 280mm rad on top as well if I was pushing air out?

It would be a little inefficient but the overall gains from having the top exhausting would more than mitigate that. I have my AIO as an exhaust through the roof and it's a CPU difference of maybe one or two degrees compared to intake, however the whole case temp drops a lot more noticeably and my GPUs run a little cooler as a result (They're on air so a little more susceptible to internal temps)

Yes the front rad will heat it a little, however its not going to be a maesive difference.

My loop was d5/res - GPUs - CPU - top rad - front rad. Net the best cooling for me.
