that fact that your firestrike score is only 1k shy of mine ON A LAPTOP makes me want to puke lol. my laptops fs score is just over 1k lol. congrats on the awesome purchase broseph. and its a LAPTOP. i am seriously amazed mate.

Thats one beast of a laptop it well out performs my current rig, not even sure if mine can run firestrike never mind get a score lol. But it is coming up on 6 years old and well in need of an upgrade lol.

A power house of a laptop is something a bit different so you def have my attention here.

Over 6k in firestrike extreme:

http://www.3dmark.com/fs/1194436

4930k @ 4.2ghz, 2x780m @ 1110/6650

The first stage of the bios mod from prema is done and that's increased the PCI-E from 1.0 to 2.0 which gave me that big increase in firestrike extreme.

Looks like my 24/7 settings will be with the 4.2ghz six core turbo speeds and the GPUs @ 1045/3250 1.05V core voltage. I get no throttle so far even under sustained heavy load.

Should fit perfectly with the built in 1080p screen at 100hz.

Getting the cards ready :D

I'm getting a new CPU as I think mine is a little bit of a lemon, going to test to see if I get another 100-200mhz out of it since it's a decent sample.

dude. you have passed my fse score on a laptop. what ever dude my pc has lights and stuff. what does you laptop have other than a coin purse heater. lol. what are the 3 cards you posted btw 2 gpus and something else?

I have a multicolour backlit keyboard, touch media buttons and a strip of lighting under my touchpad :p

Those 3 cards are all GTX780M 4GB MXM modules, 2 included with the system and 1 from my last build, I put the secondary card as primary since its the best quality chip and then used my "old" card as the slave. I'll be selling the card that was originally the master.

I hope to get to 4.3-4.4ghz with this new chip so it will be interesting to see how close I can get my system to yours CPU wise :D

My memory settings by the way:

Got to love those samsung 30nm modules, these are running at 1.5V since that's all the slot will deliver.

please show us some new pictures ! and my god... please stop making us mortal desktop owners cry.... <3 you should start selling such baddies !

Heatsinks with tape on the CPU fans to help stop airflow escaping from the gap between the fan and heatsink (not they use some protection already as stock on the GPU heatsinks).

And then a nude shot:

(Note that little ram module hiding under the 2nd CPU fan) that's the first slot.

Nice even spreading of the paste, I know my pad placement is not the prettiest in the world and I might even take the 2nd 0.5mm layer from the edge bits if I open her up again but compared to the stock spread patten which was obviously lower pressure towards the vrm pads at the top I am pretty pleased.

New CPU looks to do 4.3ghz at a lower voltage so a small increase but nice for a notebook.

Meh, you just have an excuse to pick up a pair of 780Ti cards now :D

Lol mate. Im going to wait till x79s true successor and then get two of whatever the best card at the time is. Prob run 1440 x 3 by then. thats hiw long it will take at least till I get funds back that I have lent to fam members lol. A considerable amount. Turds haha

Deciding what I want my final gaming clocks to be, I think 1045/7000.

Got to love that bandwidth.

My steady state temperatures running the tomb raider benchmark (4xSSAA + highest details (minus depth of field at normal and tressFX off) = 74 FPS min, 110 FPS max, 91 FPS average.

lol no one will suspect that laptop to be that much of a machine nice build its kinda like a sleeper it dont look that serious but its def more than meets the eyes
