Hi,
Decided to set up my triple monitors again - I now have a 690, rather than a 670...
On the 670, I could plug my monitors in via DVI, DVI and HDMI for them to work in surround.
On the 690 however, with multi-GPU mode enabled, the nvidia website tells me I can only use 2 of the 3 DVI ports on the card, and I have to use the display port for my 3rd monitor:
http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/technology/sli/system-requirements
Select: 690 - Multi-GPU - Multi-GPU On On that list and you'll see what I mean.
Now, my 3 screens have DVI and HDMI ports, but no display port, so I'm going to need an adapter to convert the mini-display port to DVI/HDMI.
So...
Does the adapter need to be active, or will a passive one do?
Thanks in advance
