Hi, I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ (04G-P4-3975-KR). Just wondering if I can OC this card or if I even should. Thanks in advance for any help :)

the GTX 970 are good overclockers make sure you use some decent software ie MSI afterburner and read some guides 1st :)

100% give it a try, some of them oc like mad, mine is just above average I'd say but still get a lot of benefit from it.

get msi afterburner and oc slowly till you reach a wall.

fyi, memory oc's like crazy, easy +600mhz on most cards

i managed to push my single 970 this far. does really well in things like GTA5 and BF4. both over 70fps

Yes you should. You can make real gains on the gtx 970 by overclocking the card. It's safe these days and you can max the voltage without any damage to your card. Look for a guide on overclocking Maxwell cards and enjoy the experience. Synthetic benchmarks are a good indicator of how stable your clocks are but the best is a good long having session.

Nice score dude, this is my OC, or at least as far as I am willing to push my 970 (Keep in mind, my 970 is water cooled).

Be careful pushing too far as although the card will take it to start with, it can start to damage the GPU to a point that even stock values will start to show a degraded store. My OC is on stock volts with the TDP never going above 98%.

Nice. Those temps for a loop tho

Temps are spot on, my fans run at min speed, bear in mind that it the card still at 100% usage. CPU never goes north of 55c under benchmark conditions. I can drop the temps dramatically with an aggressive fan curve, but no need to. Under gaming the GPU sits around 60 and CPU around 45 ...... For me, all about silent gaming over low temps with any noise.
