GTX 780 6gb

Why wouldn't the GTX 780 6gb push a 4k monitor? every were I look I see that you need more Vram. when i ask would one 780 6gb would be find or a titan black since two gtx 780 6gb is the same price everyone tells me don't get the gtx 780 6gb that it wouldn't push the 4k monitor I'm confused.

Its not got enough power for 4k. You need serious grunt to get decent performance.

I suppose if you was SLI'ing and wanted look over form id be happy to trade my 3gb for a 6gb if i was getting 2, even just for ram intensitive games.

It's got plenty of memory but doesn't have the horsepower to take advantage of all that memory.

The reference designs have just the right amount of memory out of the box, the higher memory versions have very few uses. All I can think of is modded Skyrim with huge textures. Or indeed SLI since while you do get nearly double the horsepower the memory available for you to use does not double.

Thats why i suggested it, id of thought tri SLI 6GB would be about the same perf as dual 780ti 6gb.

in SLI then 2 x 780 with 6gb of VRAM would move the games.

well it may run just, depends on game what ya put on it etc ... till we try it wont know.
I know ill be looking for 2x 780gtx 6Gb

I hear before few days no plans for GTX780Ti 6GB, if someone want more than one card than it's better 6GB, or Tri SLI GTX780 6GB, only with one card is more or less same.
But I think if NVIDIA have lot of chips in supplies than they could delay Maxwell 2-3 months and launch GTX780Ti 6GB for 2-3 months. Only chance for that are low because Titan Black.
