GTX 560 or 560Ti?

Hey guys,

I need to upgrade my GPU as playing BF3 is getting difficult on my old 4870. I can't afford to much and the cheaper the better. All I want to know is how much better is a 560Ti the a normal 560? would there be much difference between them?

Thanks in advance!

If you can buy the msi 560 ti hawk,

Yeah its a little bit pricier, but it overclocks like gold and it performs close to a 570.

Not sure where u live but here in canada i got one for 260$ so im guessing something like 180-200 pounds.

Good luck

100% 560ti, the GTX 560 regular doesnt make itself competitive in price/performance, just like all low end Nvidya cards.

I have to agree with people above. Go for the ti.

get urself a EVGA 560Ti and with the 90day step-up program in 90days ot less when ya have a lil extra money step up to a beefier card. All it costs is the difference in cost of the 2 and shipping. I went from my 560Ti to a 570HD for 79bucks

better example say you pay 260 for a 560Ti and 60 days later ya have some extra money burning ur pocket. And you want a 570 that costs 350 All you will pay is 100$ plus the shipping cost to you of the new card (and the shipping cost to them of ur old card) now keep in mind you have to send urs first.

I personally recommend the EVGA 560Ti 448 Core Classified.

Their awesomely fast for the price. When i only had one put in i was running Battlefield 3 in Ultra with 4xMSAA @1920x1080 with my frame rate rarely dropping below 60fps. I've now got two of them installed and my frame rate for BF3 rarely drops below 100fps except for on Golf of Oman which is just a poorly optimized map where my frame rate drops to around 30fps every now and then randomly.

They will also become fairly rare cards due to a very limited release, which is why i snapped up two when i could for my rig.

EDIT: The 448 Core Classified doesn't support the Step-Up program, fyi. Also EVGA cards are always high quality and have excellent customer service.

Another EDIT later: Yes, i am abit of a EVGA fan boy. Can't help it, they make great GPUs.

get the ti that rules supreme over all other ti's (and the 448's and vanilla 570's)

the sparkle calibre.....

tom has a review of them here

http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/sparkle_x560_ti_df_calibre_review/1

i bought 2 of these puppies after hearing about them and not 10 min ago i just scored the higest fm aproved 3dmark11 score to date!!! 10071

highest for the matching hardware i should say and btw that score is MUCH higher that my 2x6970's got

here is a link (for the ti)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187151

and i have not tested nor have i read a review for this one, but i have no reason to assume similar dominance (560)

I can't afford the 448 core ones but if the conversion is right for the sparkle calibre (£170) then I could buy one.. But does anyone know anywhere in the UK that sells them?

I´d say go for the EVGA 560ti, i´m not sure how much the stock one is, but i´m getting mine superclocked edition from novatech for 180pound.
