GPU Doesn't Detect games?

Hello Everybody,

So the other day I installed the Witcher 2 onto my computer, and updated it to patch 1.2. However, when I start it up (even on lowest settings) I can't even get past the intro videos because of the Lag. I've heard that the Witcher 2 is demanding, but I don't think it will bring a 570 to its knees on lowest graphics! So I ran afterburner in the backround and found out that the GPU usage doesn't go up when I play the game. So I was thinking either the game doesn't recognize the card or the card doesn't recognize the game. Any suggestions? (BTW using the latest Nvidia Beta Drivers)

What are the rest of you're specifications mate ?

Minimum requirementsEdit

Processor: Core 2Duo 2.2 GHz or dual core AMD 2.5 GHz

RAM: 1 GB Windows XP, 2 GB Windows Vista/7

Graphics: GeForce 8800 512 MB or Radeon (HD3850 512 MB)

HDD Space: 16 GB

Recommended requirementsEdit

Processor: Quad Core Intel or AMD

RAM: 3 GB Windows XP, 4 GB Windows Vista/7

Graphics: GeForce 260 1 GB or (HD4850 1 GB)

According to his profile he has a 2500K, which shouldn't be struggling this much with the game. Uninstall the game and re install or remove the patch if you can and try.

I re-installed the game and rolled back my Nvidia drivers to their latest "non-beta" versions. I guess it was the beta drivers that were a bit buggy with the game. Thanks for all your help guys

Cool. I had constant BSODs with some beta drivers a while back. Just download the WHQL drivers when they are released. No point bothering with the beta ones imo.
