GPU covers all sata ports (3 options)

I want to apologise as I was unsure what section to post this under :confused:

My problem is I built a budget pc using i3 and a xfx 6850 on a matx board now the problem is the 6850 covers up every single sata port on the motherboard and I only need 1 bl**dy sata connection.

I'm currently using a right angle sata connection and it fits under the gpu but I'm a bit paranoid in case of long term damage if any.

So I have 3 options
1= order a smaller gpu msi 7770
2= pci express card (x1 slot)
3= my gpu has no warranty now so I suppose I could "mod/cut" a small hole in the plastic shroud on the gpu just enough for 1 sata cable.

what would you guys do??

Could you get us a better pic of the sata itself? Is the Graphics card touching/pushing on the connector? If it isn't I can't see how it would be a problem.

I hope this pic is clear enough...of what I can feel it is pushing the gpu shroud a little

I see what you mean now. You could buy a sata pci express card they are about 25 pound or a cheaper option is if your motherboard has esata you could run a cable in from the back and use that.
