Good setup for a Noob?

Hi im planning my first ever water-cooling build and have decided to have just one loop for the cpu and go from there:D. Im planning a custom system and after looking at scans selection i have decided on the follwing parts

Thermalright XWB-01 socket 775 block

XSPC 5.25" res inc. pump

Asetek black ice radiator 120mm

TFC 3838 straight hose compression fittings

2M TFC clear tube 3/8 ID 1/2OD

Coollabratory 1L pro-blue coolant

It comes to a total of £100.20 inc vat.

Would this be a good beginner setup for an antec300 case cooling a E2160@3.20GHz?

Are there any other parts that are cheaper and better?

Or is this setup ok to go ahead with?

All of your knowledge is appreciated and hopefully the build will start on 15th june 2009:D

Thanks

personally i would change the CPU block to some thing a little better.

Spending a little more money on this part will improve your over all cooling effectiveness.

The Res with the pump built in all so are not very good at moving water around the system, If i was you id get a separate res and pump.

If how ever money is a limitation its not a bad start but once the bug bites you may find your self selling on 1/2 of the kit on because you what more out of it.

All so you don't need the Coollabratory 1L pro-blue coolant !! Bin that idea and get some water from your local car shop for £1.50 for 5 ltr and a small bottle of anti corrosion liquid.

How ever this is a personal opinion and not a matter of fact.

All so not being nasty to scan but do not believe every thing you read on there sales page. I personally think what they have written on each item product page is a load of tosh and hype...

For a starter kit you would be better off paying inwards of £150.

there is no real such thing as a starter kit. Normally that means cheap rubbish to waiste you money on and you seon realise the kit is rubbish.

save up some extra penny and get a decent kit. there are plenty of reviews out on the net and on here to help you decide what is best bang for buck. Faling that go second hand. Youll get more for your money that way.

The "h20-120" kit would also be a good look in for you, cheap and effective, and requires alot less assembly

Thanks for all input guys its much appreciated. :D

I have thought about bolt on systems including the H20-120 compact and the thermaltake big water system but it doesn't give me that satisfied feeling that it is truley my own system.

Is there a better system i could build from scratch that is between £100-£150 that is much more effective and attractive?

Keep up the good work guys

All comments welcome

i would agree with getting a little better waterblock. thats something you don't want to go cheap on if you want good cooling. Also, maybe a 120.2 rad would do you a little better and leave a little more room for another main board block or something.
