GFX Question What Would You Do?

Ok so the Boss has said that I can get a pair of MSI GTX 980's if I want instead of the 970's even though they will cost $600Au more now my question is, is it worth that to go with a pair of these will I see a benefit at 2560x1440 on the swift or should I just stay with the 970's?
I'd love the epeen value of 980's
So what should I do? What Would You Do?

Unless your gaming at 4k there is only a few frames difference between the cards which doesn't justify the huge price hike. I would stick with the 970's I'm running a pair of 970 gaming editions and I'm running farcry 3 at 1440p 8xmsaa ultra settings and hitting 80 fps minimum. When mfaa is released it will bring even more performance.

Get them, get them, get them. There are plenty of games where I 'only' get 100-110fps with two 780's so you will definitely be able to extract some more performance out of the 980's with the Swift.

Plus I won't mock you for having glorified 670's
