Lol sorry for jumping at you. I need to go to Stanford though nd get a scholarship. Or at least UC Berkeley to tie with my brother lol.

It's different in the States I guess, but over here, if you want to go into something like underwriting (what I'd like to do ;)), the most important thing is work experience (Unless you go to Oxbridge). Some companies won't even look at you if you don't have at least a year.

How exactly do you get into a good university then? How do you do well at the university? How do you write good essays and do well in math without the proper level of high school education?
I would have gotten into UT by knowing people. Im wasnt exactly the greatest in school, but since i was drum captain and quad player of our high school i was offerd a full ride into UT. I didnt accept for many reasons. Eh, i guess that means you must know alot of people in the music business lol.

You're a country singer?

Eh no lol, i hate country hahaha. Im currently in a classic rock cover band with a friend and 2 family members. What made you think that?

Venus, Texas.

tbh.

Alot of us in Venus (most males anyways) dont like Country. Texas really isnt all that cowboyish like its stereotyped to be. I do have cattle behind me, a chicken farm east of me, and horses next to that, but thats besides the point ;) I DO live in the coutry though.

Tbh, a few months ago i was looking for my first job etc, went to an interview and i dont have good grades, got D`s in maths, English and science, but they sed the expieriance ive had will help me more, and they all went onto explain that they get all the uni kids comin with there diplomas and stuf, but when it comes to DOING the job, they cant, cus theyve got no hands on expieriance, so what im tryin to say, is dont think grades are everything, more and more im finding its about wot expieriance you have.

I 2nd that!

Well I'm in my final year of "high school" (secondary school for us brits) and the IT Practitioner course I really want to do requires a C or above in both english and maths and 2 other grades above C. I should do this easily as the lowest im predicted is a B in German (which is HARD - I need to learn some responces off by heart for a mock vocal exam no0o0, any tips?)

Maths - im in the higher group, it is hard but I managed an A in my last module test and a B before that (it all adds up in the end to an average score). I was doing really well in english till we swapped teachers for this year and now we have started analysing and studying poems and prose (BAH!) which is soooo boring! Also try digging out writing styles from the stuff we study and explain why!

I am looking forward to college although I will probably be on my own - All my friends are like sheep going to the other decent college in my area (theres one in town but its 6th form, not offering full time courses) so they are all going there whereas lil ol me is going to one about the same distance away :(

I do get to complete the course with only 1 year at UNI tho, which will get the same diploma as those who went for 3 years only I paid less :p
