just swallow your pride and go into a shop and buy some nail polish remover. seriously there isnt really anything else. unless you can get some ethanol from somewhere

dont some of the companies like arctic silver say not to use ethanol or am i mistaken?

rubbin alcohol is Isopropyl alcohol so its fine ; nail polish remover is Acetone which is also fine (but may discolour some hs bases dependin on imputities added to the remover)
