First of all please use the edit button in the first post to avoid double posting as it is against the forum rules.

Please provide us with more info about what you want. Do you need a mouse/keyboard/monitor/speakers?
If you already own a monitor, what resolution is it running at?

EDIT: where are you located? do you have a preffered online shop?

EDIT #2: Do you already have a case? is it Mid/Full Tower? if you already have one it would greatly increase the performance of your rig as you would have more budget towards the actual compononents.

300$? That can't give you much... Win 7 alone is around 100$ on ebay. With 200$ a CPU Is really all you will get.. You need at least a $600 budget to get anything worth investing in.

Actual could i do a ram, video, and maybe processor card upgrade on a Acer Aspire 5253-BZ481

If i could get 6 or 8 gigs of ram then ill be good at the moment it has 2 GB of ram (removable)

It also has a horrible video card AMD Radeon HD 6250

I'm not sure if the processor is any good but its a AMD Dual-Core Processor C-50 I would much rather upgrade if possible.

it is do able,

Procesor : AMD A8 6600K Black Edition
Motherboard : MSI FM2-A55M-E33
RAM : 8GB Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Blue, PC3-12800
Case : Sharkoon VS3-S Black/Green ATX Mid Tower Case
Powersupply : 430W Corsair Builder Series

Total £258

You will have to re-use your Hard drive form the Acer you have and will have to get a copy of windows aswell.

and thats already about $400, 100 above his budget

wanting to play games with a $300 budget just isn't going to happen, performance/price ratio is so damn low in that region. you'll need to save up a bit more to get a decent experience

This was done on a 300 pounds but I think prices may have come down since then. You can always give it a shot to see how much this would cost you:

You can swap the Pentium G850 out for a Pentium G2020, which would save you around 10-15 dollars.

If it's still a bit too expensive, I'd recommend you to just drop the dedicated video card overall and get an AMD APU, but you're not going to see any decent gaming performance out of that.

Or you could put up with the integrated graphics on the Intel Pentium chip for a while. They do suck and you can't play game on them but then you can save up for a proper video card that you can add later.

I agree. Even if you can up the budget to $400, I wouldn't get a gaming PC. If you can up the budget to $400, pre-order a PS4 :p
Also I don't know how old you are, but if you're 16 like me, try to get a job and save up for a while.

The thing that I would probably do is get a low-mid end board, cpu and ram. Use the onboard video for the time until you can get yourself the money for a second hand decent gpu.

no. just no.

i do agree though that 300$ isn't really worth it. that's even very short for an apu setup.
PS4 still has a FX8350 and a 7870 (effectively), that for $400 is a steal.
Hook it up to a monitor, sit in your chair and bam. Play some Killzone Shadow Falls (VIVA HOLLANDIA! DUTCH GAMES ROCK!!! <3 ) (I play most games with a controller anyway, except MOBA's and RTS.

mate low budget is APU domain.
i would get one of the better AMD APUs, some cheap ass board, 400W bronze psu, RAM costs all the same anyways, seagate barracuda hdd, random ass case and then crossfire it later.
