Bugdet 1600£.

First of all he is a WOW gamer..

He needs headset and keyboard (razer lycosa and I dont know what headset)

I was thinking an i7 2600k along with 8 gb of ram and a 570 with the ax850 in the haf 922.

HE have a screen..

Mobo i dont know but i was thinking a msi p67 gd 55/65 would do the work fine, Corsair SSD Force Series™ F80A, 80GB for boot drive and wow but I dont know how much space wow takes on a drive so it may have to be upgraded to 120 gb or something along those lines.

W7 HP 64 bit

Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB as storage

Noctua NH-U12P SE2 cpu cooler

Now tell me, do i have to change anything or does it look good?

Is this just a gaming rig or does he do video editing or something?

And how soon does he want this rig bearing in mind that the Z68 boards are getting released now and Bulldozers out next month?

Not really the best time to build atm, imho.

I do not know about all the parts but I would suggest a i7 2500 and 4GB of 1600MHz Mushkin RAM unless he is a heavy application user.

Go for a Noctuna NH-D14 CPU cooler

Put a SSD in there for a bit more HDD speed along with a 2TB HDD for storage and large application installs.

For WOW I would probably get a AMD 6970. But the 570 is also good.

you can tell WoW to install to the storage drive when installing it thats what I did and its still awesome. I told all my games to install to (Z) my storage drive the only writes they do to the ssd are saved game files which is OK as there normally small. And since WoW saves to the server you wont have that issue at all. The only game so far that has saved to my ssd is Crysis2 and after finishing it last night its only 36MB

since he also has to get a headset and keyboard with the budget I'd go with the 2500k and the 64GB size ssd since win7 only takes about 15-20GB fully installed and tweaked it should be plenty of room and then get a decent large storage drive.
