Thought i'd post up.

8800GTX now fitted.

I ended up going for a 850W PSU...

Coolermaster's new real power 850...VERY nice and easily as quiet as my S12 600 and a darn sight quieter than the lousy M12 700W unit I had to RMA!!!

It grinds me to see a Striker Extreme, an 8800GTX, and a freaking STOCK INTEL COOLER?!?!?!?!? WTF is with that mate? Money obviously isnt the problem, lol.

Good lookin rig though!! Time to get a new heatsink, the factory Intel sinks are like the worst inventions ever.

Yup...only just got the kit all up and running, I did have a load of watercooling kit to go in the rig. Just been busy with college work and stuff so just haven't had the time.

@ GrimReaper - have 2 150GB Raptor Xs in RAID 0 and a 300GB Maxtor for my data. Corsair PC8500 Dominator RAM, E6600, X-fi fataliy and a single Pioneer optical drive.

These 8800s run hot....so am not really sure what to do next. Dodsy is gonna my case (and a few other odds and ends) and have just checked the specialtech site....Lian Li G70 now £20 off!!

Just hope that when I end up going Sli (hence the meaty PSU) the PA120.3 will be able to cope.

Thoughts guys? Or would I be better off just cooling the CPU with water and leave the G80s on air??

Well I've seen g80s in sli run on a black ice extreme II (double rad, cpu was on a separate loop) and the temps were pretty good.

Imho just the CPU water cooleed will do,,

I know the G80 runs hot 58C idle? but I guess thats ok

thanks guys, appreciate the kind feedback...in a cavernous case like the eclipse wire management aint too hard...plenty of space to hide unused cables.

I am very happy with it...

Just need to get my 'harris' in gear with the case change and watercooling!!

Very nice rig Mullet. If you need a temporary good heatsink until you go watercooling, gimme a shout as i might be selling my scythe ninja
