front panel usb connector

Hi having built my new computer the only thing i cant get to work is the front oanel usb slots! the motherboard has the pins for it an the i have a cable that came with the case but it only has 4 connectors per slot as follows

How am i supposed to know what exactly they are? as im supposed to have

power5v

usb dx-

usb dy-

usb dx+

usb dy+

gnd

gnd

no pin

nc

Never seen that before. Looks like your case is a bit retarded . You able to snap a photo? also are you 100% sure that the cable youre holding feeds only the two USB ports and nothing else?

I remember the good old days when I plugged in the USB wrongly, then rigged up my neon backlit keyboard and my mate was screaming at me saying there was smoke coming off the bloody thing, thought he was messing about, as it happens, he wasn't.
