As the title suggests, I need help deciding which case to purchase for a new build.
I know both rate quite highly and I need lots of slots for HDD. Other cases dont seem to have the hard drive or optical drive options I need. Yes, some of us still make DVD's.
I'm old skool
The ASUS X570 ROG STRIX X570-F Gaming AMD Motherboard which has 8 SATA ports and 2 NVME slots is in the mail.
I clicked and collect the AMD 3700X tomorrow. The Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18 Desktop RAM is in the mail with the mobo.
I already picked up an MSI 2070, too.
I can make do with the stock cooler for a couple weeks until I can pick up an AIO. Im looking at one of the Coolermaster jobs, such as the Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB AIO CPU Cooler. I dont much care for RGB, but its at a decent price.
I currently have the original Corsair H100i, which I think has been renamed the H100x and it has been pretty good. So i dont mind another, similar one.
So, that brings me to the need for a case and a cooler that will fit in it.
Does anyone have a preference for the Define 7, or is the R6 USB-C pretty much the same case? Also cooler advice for the case and CPU would be welcome.
Thank you TTL, for the review on the Define 7. It did help alot, but still leaves me with the question: Which one is better? Are they the same size? I dont need the XL job, just a mid-tower case will do.
Thanks guys and gals. I hope everyone is safe and Covid-free.
