Hey guys, so I just finished my new rig and ive noticed my wd caviar black builds up an almost harmonic resonance throughout the case. Basically it was making an awful vibrating sound inside my new 650D. After determining the drive itself wasnt at fault but rather the flimsy HDD mounts I put my thinking cap on and found a solution.
Basically all I did was pop out the little aluminium studs that hold the Hard Drive in and replaced them with the appropriate screws aswell as wrapping a rubberband around each of the rails that the tray slides on.

It now wedges into the HDD bay nice and firmly and all the resonating sounds are gone
Now the only sounds i have to deal with is the H100 pump noises haha, one step at a time though.
