First Water cooling build...

Hi ,

I am going to be doing my first water cooling build in the new year. I have done a ton of research and put together a shopping list of parts.

Just wanted some thoughts on the list. Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with these components? Can you recommend better for the money?

I will be cooling an fx-8350 in a corsair 760t. Then adding my gpu to the loop at a later date.

Pump: EK-D5 Vario 12V DC Pump £56.40
Resevoir: Phobya Balancer 250ml Black Matt £22.19
Block: EK-Supreme LTX AMD CSQ AMD Waterblock £29.24
Radiator: Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Radiator 360mm £56.29
Tubing: 4m Clear Tubing £14
Fittings: 8 x Black Crome Barb £14.32
Liquid: 2l Mayhem Premix Red £16

Thanks in advance!

You might want to add some angled fittings in there mate, just to make the loop nice and tidy ( the shortest runs possible ) and the Phobya res, is very thin, I bought one for my first build, and as soon as I eyed it up, it looked out of place in a full size case. A pump top, would make things easier, giving you more options for the ins and outs of the pump.

Cheers, I will take a look at the pump top and some other reservoirs, the pics can be deceiving at times, thanks!

Don't use clear tubing as over time it discolours and looks awful.

Try some of the coloured tubing available, this also gives you the chance to use clear coolant which makes life simpler.
