First Time Folder

Hey, I'm a relatively new member round here and very new to folding at home. I'm running an i5 4570k @ 4Ghz and a GTX 760 - Is it worth me folding for the Redline Team? My CPU is on 8690 PPD atm and my GPU is being noisy but doesn't seem to have made any progress yet.

Actually Scrap that - GPU has started and is on 18k ppd and CPU has bumped itself up to 10k

To maximise your PPD you can enable Core17, which should massively boost your 760's output.
To do this, go to Configure, Expert, then add "advanced" (no quote marks) into the Client options. Press ok and, with any luck, you should begin to see a big ol'boost.

I'd skip folding with the CPU. The CPU based folding is only interesting if you would have way more cores.

Try to setup the client right as HypocraticOath suggested. Then the 760 should get you much higher...

I don't really know how the new F@H client looks like in Windows, so I can't help you there...

Yep sure did. Had heard about it mentioned by you a few times before actually so looked into it. Got it set up on that PC now. Don't think there is much point here on this noisy 7770 rig.

The 760 on Core 17 WU's should do some 60-70K+ PPD and would be a great help to the team
