I will clear the bios as you say, I have noticed there seems to be a lot of posts on other forums regarding cold boots 4gb / 6gb so even I was starting to think it wasnt a RAM issue.

I noticed some saying that you could have your cooler to tight but I dont recall doing it very tight plus the threads don't let you I think, correct me if i'm wrong here.

I know on the NH-D14 the screws can only fasten down so far.

clear cmos still shows 4gb on cold boot. what tweaks would you suggest I try in the bios Tom ?

something that may mean nothing at all but I noticed it in cpu-z, when it booted up showing 4gb it showed 6gb and each drop down from slot 1,2 and 3 had 2gb in it, but when I rebooted it was in slots 1,3,5 in cpu-z.

Wasn't there something in the BIOS, like enable memory hole or memory mapping, something like that to allow for more than 4GB. For some reason this thought is coming up, I remember it on some boards.
