Firefox 3 bookmarks

hey all.

My laptop failed on me but i would like to find and export my bookmarks to my main pc.

I have googled and all the solutions involve me still having a working laptop, slight issue there.

I have copied the entire laptop hdd into a folder on my pc so i can retrieve as much data as possible.

Can anyone tell me how to find my bookmarks in my laptops files and add them to that of my pc's

C:\Documents and Settings\David\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\m7aiwp89.default

This is where mine is saved to. Hopefully it will be the same for you.

Your looking for a HTML file called bookmarks. Copy this over, or even the whole profile to your PCs Location. Again, similar to the above string.

can you still open up firefox? if so just click on bookmarks > organise bookmarks then backup or export html.

I do not know if I'm a step behind, but you should be able to connect your laptop hdd to your desktop, right? A search for 'bookmark' or 'firefox' on the C:\ should get you some nice results.

all sorted now, there were backups saved that i was able to salvage
