Feeding time

Hey all, fresh meat here.
Recently became a member so figured this was as good a place as any to pop my post cherry.
I'm an immature, 28 year old, living in the West Midlands, arriving unfashionably late to the PC gaming party, unless WoW counts....
Fairly inexperienced with OC though I do like to dabble occasionally, and my only real world modding experience is putting a window in my case, I know, hardcore(!)

Not going to embarrass myself by posting rig specs just yet as the old girl has a few long years on the clock and she wasn't exactly impressive when freshly assembled. Budgets eh?!
Still I can't complain, almost 4 years of faithful service from what was my first self-build.

So yeah, planning a much needed new rig is what brought me here, courtesy of many hours watching TTL videos.
I'm not usually the most active person on forums as far as post counts go, as I don't often have anything worth saying that isn't better said by somebody with more knowledge or understanding. I tend to "lurk" and read, picking up ideas and info

Anyway, that rather creepy sounding point seems a good place to end with

Hello OC3D

I'll be honest I hadn't heard of Jim Jeffries until I just googled, might have to watch some of that later. Took my name from a song title by Machine Head :)

and thanks all

Hello OC3D

that's the way most people start out. still, if you have any experiences with certain problems etc just mention it, doesn't matter if someone else mentioned it before, the more opinions the better.
/edit
also welcome to :oc3d:

Welcome to the forums, most of us start of like that gathering info then post a small thing.one thing i would say is never feel like its a stupid question it wont be and most of us has asked something similar

Thanks both.
I've always been a slow starter where forums are concerned, wouldn't want to make myself look a complete tool right away hehe.
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as time goes on.

Welcome to the OC3D forums alcoholocaust,
Enjoy your time here , there are people with varying experience levels here so don't be afraid to ask any questions , most of us come here to learn.
I'm 52 and just built my first system in Dec. with the help of some very nice members here.
