Well... after 2 years of faithfull service, my Mach II has found its way to the bin :( [well not that far yet] but after preparing my new case for it, well it decided it'd spring a leak :(

At the moment i havent the money to repair/replace such an expensive cooling unit, so i am back to convential Heatsink + fan cooling.

Noooooo! Dont bin it!!

Keep it for better financial days, you`ll be thankful at that time

Shame though, feel for ya

its not binned, just sat out on the landing now. i can diagnose its symptoms for you though. Well you turn it on, it makes a horrible noise, and it just cant get pressure at all. then when you turn it off all the gas that's been put under pressure just hisses out of it.

£100 i guess to get it regased and tuned and posted back.....

If it had a leak...would there be gas left to leak out? unless its a slow leak and turning it on is increasing the release rate.

When every Mach is turned off (and often when idling)..theres a boiling sound because the liquid isnt evaporating in the evap chamber.

well it doesnt make the usual squeek sounds when its trying to compress the gas. i think its a slow leak, or one that doesnt leak when its not under pressure

Depends if you lost al your gas already - running it further may destroy the compressor.

Best to leafe it and re-visit once funds are available.

Don't chuck it, if you decide to get rid, post it here as spares or repairs (in the classifieds section of course.
