Fall of the mighty titan. Over-clock.co.uk

mayhem

For many years the driving force behind Thermo chill was Steve and Marci at www.over-clock.co.uk. On the 22nd of July there was a small placed announcement on there own forums and there front page.

Unfortunately due to ill health and other circumstances I have decided to close down Over-clock UK Ltd. This is effective from 22 July 2009. The store has been closed down along with the company but the forums will remain open for everyones convenience and also for the support of The Frag Factory links.

I would like to thank all the Admins and staff that have helped and supported us along the way and made it all worthwhile. Especially those that have become personal friends. Its been a good long run and mostly a lot of fun.

Do not expect much response to emails unless it is to buy the domain names from me or to enquire about any stock thats left over.

All the web site that are currently being hosted by ourselves have been transfered over to Arron who will be dealing with them under his own company

This was written by Steve Verity for the official closing of Over-clock.co.uk. Over the past few months many thing's have happened from Marci leaving for a new job to work in a school and from handing over Thermo Chill to another Rad maker

This is sad new's with the loss of such a titan as far as im concernd here in the uk as Over-clock.co.uk and Themo Chill (both made by Steve Verity) have been a driving force in radiators and bringing now innovations to the for front of the market.

My best wishes go out to Steve and Sue who ran www.Over-Clock.co.uk and my best wishes for any future endeavourer's they may proceed with.

Steve's daughter Sally and her boy frind Arron have taken over the Lan gaming events once run by steve called Frag Factory and they are doing a dammed fine job. so best wishes to them for the further of the Frag Factory.

Over-clock.co.uk will be dearly missed.

Now what of the future of Thermal Chill and what of the future of many other water cooling out lets .. will they survive the recession or are we going to see more news like this.

Who knows.

These were left under there heading in the forums from well wishes and long time forum members of over-clock.co.uk and i think the ones i picked best described what most felt.

Rockin - Both Steve and Sue are probably the most genuine kind people ive ever met in my life. It's a sad day that the store has ceased trading but i support your reason's.

TFF PyrettaBlayze (Sally) - Tis a sad day in one way but a relief for me in another way as now my dad can finally chill out a little more and take it easy

thanks

r1Pped - I am sad but glad that this time has come. Sad to see a shop like this close, but glad to see Steve and Sue now getting a chance to be properly chilled out. Steve can now look at all the dirty sites without having to run off and make an order up, grab a cuppa in piece, cuddle the Dog and play with the grand-kids.

May the both of you have a nice time and have the time of your lives.

Yet another great name going to the wayside, tis a shame that the monoply is growing and smaller names that were the driving force behind watercooling many years ago will be forgot.:(

I have to say on a more personal Note "Steve was like a father that i never had" and to me he was master of all he surveyed and i feel deeply at the loss of over clock and i all so know that Thermo Chill was dear to him and the loss of Themo Chill was not taken likely.

"it is like losing a child" was spoken from his words over msn once.

With deepest respect im saddened to lose Over-clock.co.uk and all it stood up for.

i just have to say that is a shame that smaller buisnesses are getting the sharp end of the stick, for what is surely the fault of bigger corporations and the banks which are stupid enough to lend money they don't have to people who cant pay the money back.

It is more than likely we will see more companies go down the tube before the the recession is over, and i fear the worst is yet to come.

farewell Over-clock.co.uk

Never used these guyz tbh, but it is a sad site when an obvious enthusiast based firm are taken from the community.

Best wishes to all involved.
