F@H OpenCL.DLL error since Win10 November Update

Hi guys. Just a quick one - I've started getting errors folding on my GPU. I haven't been folding continually so it's hard to pinpoint the exact cause. I can say it ran fine on Win10 previously. Since the Nov update I get the OpenCL.dll is missing error.

I reinstalled the client and all appeared to be fixed. Ran it again last night and the error reappeared.

It only happened on one card when it was starting a new work unit. It prevents the GPU from processing anything. The other GPU continues to process as normal. I haven't tried waiting for the second cards unit to finish however from my first experience they end up both crashing at the end of the unit. AFAIK the CPU continued processing fine. (I didn't specifically note the times of the crash to see whether the CPU had started a new work unit since)

It's almost like Windows is uninstalling a component in the background. I do have automatic updates switched on.

Has anyone else had this issue? When I get home I'll try a complete NVidia driver clean/reinstall and F@H as well.

If the issue continues I may have to turn off updates which is not really ideal.
Cheers

Any time I get weird errors in F@H I reinstall GPU drivers (with clean installation option) and reinstall F@H. It was bad in the early days having to babysit the client daily to make sure things were working right. The clients now are greatly improved, but issues still tend to pop up now and again.

When you do get that error, is OpenCL.dll really missing from your system?

Good point I must admit I didn't search for the .dll

I reinstalled F@H and had the same issue. Clean installed Nvidia drivers and then F@H again and has been stable overnight so I'll keep an eye on my points throughout the day to see if it's fallen over again while I'm at work.

Sidetrack - is there any good remote monitoring/control apps anyone can recommend?

Thanks for your reply :)

I run teamviewer on my system, there's a ton of other free programs similar out there. Another option would be to run a vpn on your router if it supports that option. You could also use a non-standard port and forward it to your machine so you can access the web client remotely. This, however, would allow anyone to view it so probably not a good idea.

I use HFM.net for monitoring. It has an ftp facility so that you can send html to a web space you have, and you can monitor that. It also has an email alert if your client fails.
