External charger for laptop battery

Hi all,

Guy at work has brought in his laptop for me to look at.

Simple thing, power jack has failed.

I can pick up a replacement jack for a few quid off flee bay but i can not find a disassembly guide for the model. Acer Aspire 5630 BL50 .

I have seen an external battery charger for its battery online but it's from the states and $85. Has anyone seen these available in the UK?

I'm fine with opening the laptop to remove and replace the power jack but this would be another option for the guy to decide on.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

I've searched around and come up with this link. I'm in work and haven't downloaded it myself so be sure ur virus scanners work

Should have an exploded view of the laptop inside it iirc.
