BTW, that's a much cleaner & efficient loop design. Should be easier to setup too, just watch for the bends at the bottom of the res.

I've just been reading abit, will it be ok to have the EK Wave silver in my loop? will it corrode? i can always swap it for the copper version.

Will the rad/res/pump be affected by it?

Im so dull lol any help appreciated.

Not sure, although Silver is less reactive than copper (right?) so it shouldn't be a problem, i think Silver also has a higher heat transfer too. But it isn't solid silver it's plated so you might have some issues then... Id say to be safe go for the copper version.

Now for another question,

With the danger den fillports does it accept barbs or if not what size is the connector? Does anyone have one?

And just in case your wondering:

1. Yes that is a HP compaq proliant DL380 in the top right corner of the room. Tis my Development database server : 2 x Intel Xeon Quad Core 3.2 GHz : 4GB ECC Ram : 6 x 32GB WD 10K rpm in RAID 0+1
   
2. On the floor under the desk, that computer was my original case from 6 years ago, still going! Now is a NAS Server : AMD 3200 XP + : 4GB Ram : Windows Server 2003 : 4 x 320GB Seagates
   
3. The keyboard and monitor on the worktop operates on a KVM Switch for the servers, Ran out of TFT Screens
   
4. 2 x Dell Laptops, 1 x Samsung

OK well i've had some time over the weekend to put some stuff together, and it's all in the case, the fluid arrived a week late "Cough Smoothy F1 Cough" but anyway its all in now, i took some photos this morning but can't find my SD Card reader or camera cable, will post when i get home

Update time

Hey guys long time no speak, got really busy in work and moving house etc.

Anyway I finally got my rig built a few months back and now I've taken some photos.

Tape and score.

Measured the fan area of the rad, cut the wood to size and scored around it

Top panel cut and sanded the edges down for smooth finish

This thing really sucks! It creates a vortex in the reservoir

It's not easy to see here, but think of when draining your bath

and you get the the last few litres. Nice big vortex

Nice build mate, congrats. As for blurry pictures when you're not using the flash, my advice is to get a small tripod. I got a Hama extentable tripod as a present a few years ago and it's invaluable for composing night-shots or any time you don't want the flash

Heheh Thanks, I think when I do my next build in the near few months I will borrow my dads tripod, I think i'll do some videos too.

My next project: The Reactor Tower, is going to be a Lian Li A70A Silver tower.

Some nice mods i've got planned for that

Update!

Wow well it's been along time and I was sitting in my new flat reminiscing about how I used to spend many hours tweaking and messing with my computer, and to be fair I haven't really had the time since I'm now engaged, have my own flat, job, bills to pay etc etc lol.

I was playing CS:S and my computer BSODed and I thought screw this so I got out my drill and put the computer up on my table. It was time to do some work!

UPDATE! Part Duex

Began gutting the PC

Drained the fluid



Some how dust got into a sealed water loop



After cleaning every thing, I relocated the pump from the front of the case to the rear, moved the reservoir from the inside of the case (the reason for that is when I built the rig orignally, I had an IDE DVD-RW, it died and I bought a SATA one, not remembering that the power is on the LEFT side of the drive ¬_¬. The drive was hanging out the front lol), cleaned the fans, seperated the HDD's by one drive space each (couldn't before since pump was in the way) and changed the order of the water flow (Now goes: Res-> Pump->Rad->CPU->Res)



3x Blue Aerocool Turbine 2000 (Air Flow: 37.44 CFM @ 950RPM) very quiet



Even after going through the res and CPU block the flow is still very strong, it creates a vortex in the reservoir



The temps fell by a huge 10c idle!



Even under full load they are still much lower than before (Re-did LCD screens too)



Disk temperatures fell 9c average



Nice new NVidia logo for my LCD



GPU temp down a little due to better airflow now



The pumps RPM seems to have risen 500-700 RPM too (Maybe due to better flow? )
