Hi guys,
First post. I'm currently GPU bottlenecked by my 980ti. All my gaming is in VR with my time divided between DCS world and X-Plane. Neither of which are as smooth as I want on my current rig.
I'm debating between holding out for the 1080ti release or getting a 1080 sooner and availing of the EVGA step up program to get a 1080ti when available.
Has anyone here availed of that service in the past? How was the experience and would you recommend it?
The card will be going in a new rig with a binned 5ghz 7700k and 32gig of 3466 G.Skill Trident Z memory on a ROG Apex motherboard. The 1080 won't cut it long term but perhaps it would be more usable than the 980ti at least for a while.
