Ethernet faceplates

the network would cut out when mainly when put under load, i then removed one item at a time from my network until the problem was gone and the last thing to come out was the faceplates so im thinking this is causing issue

Is there any possible cause of interference near the faceplates? That could be causing some issues. I had one today where there was a CAT 5 cable next to a home media setup and it was next to so many power cables and other ethernet cables that the network cut out every time that the setup was powered on :P And I was trying to blame the Virgin Media superhub!

its not near any electric cables or anything like that as the cat cable was put in when my dad rewired the house so we made sure to keep the apart as much as possible

Please don't tell me you are using one CAT6 run for all 4 of those ports? If so, that's your problem.

no four cables, one cable per port

How long are those runs? Are they properly shielded from electrical interference such as outlets?

why not bypass the faceplate altogether and simply run the cables straight to ur router/switch??? I'm sure you can find some kind of grommet-ed plate that will allow just the cable to pass thru

Or just pull cable through the wall and install the connectors on the cable afterwards. ;)

none of the runs are that long (10 to 15 meters max) and all the runs away from electrical cables and outlets

i have bypassed the face plates for now but would like to try and get something sorted out for them as it looks messy now and also with the cable being solid it would not take much to break it
