While I was un-installing my 11.2 CCC my computer froze. so i then attempted to restart. with no luck at all. Whether or not i completely shut off my computer then turn it back on or hit the restart, nothing happens, not even the ASUS boot screen appears and non of my monitors are receiving signal. my computer is receiving power, all the lights turn on etc, sounds and looks like any regular computer booting. I have tried clearing my Cmos, Trying a different PSU, Using a different GPU and still no luck. I get no beeps either. WTF IS HAPPENING! i have VERY important stuff on my HDD. is this a mobo issue? This all happened while trying to uninstall 11.2 CCC drivers.

I will bump this every 30 min. THIS IS VITAL! i need to know in the next few hours so i can run to my local computer store and pick up what i need!

Not sure how he would do that, as the POST screen doesn't even work.

try disconnecting everything but the CPU and PSU, try to boot it. Listen for the sounds coming out of the motherboard/case speaker, they should tell you if there is a problem with the CPU.

when there isn't start adding components again, keep checking what the mobo errors on.

ow btw, does the Standby LED light up when you connect the power?

Nothing!

I am not receiving any video signal. its like its booting up and a second into it it freezes. not even the lights on my G15 keyboard light up.

my case does not have a standby LED but my MOBO does and yes its lit. it blinks slowly when the computer is in idle and stays solid when on. and there is no abnormalities there either. and i already did what you suggested and no beeps anywhere, no out of place sounds, no nothing, sounds and looks 100% normal.

I have got to get to bed, its almost 3am here. in the mean time PLEASE post any possibilities for the reason this could be happening. i am thinking something on my MOBO just crapped out. If that is the case i already have another MOBO to which i will be purchasing.

Doesn't the Crosshair3F have the LCD Poster? if so, what does it say?

Also, can you check if the cmos battery is still alive?

Did you also try to recover the BIOS? 3.1.3 in your manual.

In regard to your data, as long as the problem is not your HDD then you can connect your HDD in another PC and access your data, remove copy etc... Ive seen your other Post in regard to the Physx and looks like the problem occurred after you installed this. Have you both cards fitted? if so remove one and see what happens and even swap them over.

i removed the battery all night and just stuck the battery back in. i go the 2 short beep which is a partial circuit failure. unfortunately i do not know were. i will replace the battery and see what happens.

no luck with the new battery.

Unlucky, try removing everything, CPU, GPU, wires etc and then refitting them. I had a problem after a crash similar to yours and after removing everything and putting it all back it worked again, apart from that I don't know what else to suggest.

I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just game my PC a little love and it started.

Here is the process of which i got it to work.

I put in a new battery

i then got an error beep

i said "I LOVE YOU!" to my PC

then it worked after reboot.

strange idk why that worked but it did. I have had this MOBO since 2009 and it has NEVER failed me. although it likes to be a teez.

Just curious, what happens when your battery is dead? Never came across this, My PC is like 7 years old and was thinking it should be dead by now.

Your PC wont boot and you will not get a beep code. also i am not sure if this is related but my PC started having crazy issues with the video card and other components. bsod etc.

I'm glad you got it working, PC's can be tempremental like that sometimes.

You're wrong about the battery though, all it does is keep the clock running when the computer is unplugged and in some cases it stores bios settings. The bios itself is a flash chip so the computer should post with a dead battery or no battery at all. The standby rail on the PSU takes over from the battery when the computer is plugged in.
