Someone will want them as an instant buy, question is will they do anything and fund the IP all well and good buying them up but if you don't make games and sit on IP what is the point outside of sucking up the income from past games.
I mean EA buy and close the studio as often all they want is one less competition in there market I was pretty down when they got codemasters, as it's one of the few legendary studio's in the UK shame they focused so much on driving as good as they are at it, but way back when in there bedroom days they had some great games.
My feeling with EA is despite them now owning codemasters with a good studio to make driving games is that it'll be cheap knockouts with bad support for wheels and in the end will end up a husk of a studio underfunded just like the burnout series.
So when I see this type of thing in the industry it never ends well in the long term.
