I wouldn't say it looks terrible, it's just different.

If the cover wasn't flat black and allowed some light to create some interesting effects then it may have been more acceptable, but i kinda like it! very compact and looks very well machined.

Proper full cover water block. Love it! I hate those "full cover" water blocks that just leave the ends of cards uncovered. That isn't "full cover" for me.

One thing I do hate though, and that isn't related to waterblocks", is why can't they put the power connectors on the ends of the cards? I hate when the cables go around and come on top, it just makes it look untidy. The cases aren't that small anymore that you can't fit your stuff in. I want my power cables to be barely visible!

Yeah I think they have kinda lost the plot

Waterblocks should be plain and simple but stylish like there old blocks, or just plain gorgeous like any raystormesk block

Want a good looking block??? Look at Swiftechs Komodo blocks, and if you want a bit more bling, go Heatkiller or Koolance

As if the GPU blocks weren't enough of a massive fail, I've just seen pics of the underside of them

http://www.scan.co.u...-680-series-vga

That's right people, there's no way to connect a barb/fitting pointing upwards. Looking further into it, specialtech are listing them with an included "FC Link", which is essentially an extra lump of acetal to screw on so the barbs/fittings can screw in sideways. In fact, looking again, it's the third pic on the scan listing.

Words can't describe how much of an epic fail this is.

Edit: Even worse, it looks like they'll be the only GTX670 blocks EK make! None of the traditional design, which looks ten thousand times better!

worst VGA waterblock

I just got CSQ VGA waterblock.
I won't complain on the design this time. (looks bad anyways)

Practical design is the worst 100% sure
Its both hole towards ATX bottom.
If you use included bridge, both now towards sidepanel.
They don't even make single card bridge w/ up and down hole.
That means, if you connect it to the top side w/ 90゜ elbow,
the loop is already rotating 180゜!

EK and the CSQ designer are crazy or no brain.

I like the frosted plexi look, and the squareness of it, but I'm not sold on how it fails to offer means of connecting it from top and bottom without involving bridges and 90 degrees.

And also, the circles look annoying, really. Waste of time machining those in imo. A cleaner design would've been preferable.

they would looks so much better if the wholes for the barbs and screws were all inside the circles it makes it look untidy otherwise

At least a pig can be cooked for bacon. Not seeing quite what the marketing team at EK is thinking about...
XSPC are on top at the moment, it seems.
