Does anyone know where i can get a eight-pin connector Extention cable...

apparently the Cosair HX620's eight-pin power connector is 5cm to short to use the cable management system, so any ideas where i can get one these? lol

i checked tekheads and special tech but no luck :(

Sounds like a job for DIY. Page Maplins and see if there are some good connectors, that should come with the pins, then ravage an old psu for some nice cabling.

AND post pics :p

Lol ok i guess :P, i did find ONE extention cable.. its 30cms... not gonna buy that :P.

I'll wait till i get the case and i can see if it will fit (didnt remeber they used a diffrent motherboard in the review so the 12v might be located somwhere else.)

:)

If your using a P182 and P5K as your sig theres about a 98% chance it wont fit mate. Ive used the P180 and p182 and none of the 4/8 pin cables on any of my PSUs have been long enough too go behind the mobo tray too the top of the board.

Ill get a tape mesure out and tell you how long it needs too be though, incase your lucky.

Edit: You'll need 470-500mm dependent on where the wires actually leave the PSU

CRAP lol ... DIY jobby i guess... unless i can get a longer cable from Cosiar?

ill send them a message when my two psu arrive tomz.

Maplin certainly sell the normal 4 pin ones, Id assume they have the plastic connections, even if they don't have one fully made up :)

If you cant find one, its pretty easy to snip the cable, wack in a couple of cable joiners, making an extension :)

hehe dont think i could cut the wires (just cldnt make myself cut somthing i just paid for ^^) but certainly could make an externder i guess. :)

Another thought.

If the worse come to the worst, you could use something like this, and rewire it to take it all from the molex.

The disadvantage of that is some PSUs have separate rails for the EPS 8 pin connector and normal +12v stuff, and it might throw the balance of the two off.

With something like a Tagan, this isnt an issue as they will auto switch between split channel and combined, but some PSU's might not like the load on one rail.

Like I said, not the ideal solution, but it should work if needed :)

edit - just found the 30cm one too. You could buy that, snip it to make it shorter? That wouldn't touch your PSU and at a worst case would only loose a few quid :)

yea, gonna see what it looks like in the case im looking at (P182), might be getting a SilverStone TJ07 but its kinda expensive lol ^^

Corsair has 3 seperate rails, but they act as one, so he shouldn't have that problem.
